Who We Are: We are a non-denominational Bible church that is earnestly committed to a Christ-centered ministry. We believe a Christ-centered ministry can only be achieved through the faithful expositional preaching and teaching of God's word and the integration of the preached word into everyday life.

Our Associations: Though we are not associated or aligned with any particular denomination, we enjoy a close relationship with the international ministry of Dr. John Mac Arthur and Grace Community Church of Sun Valley, California U.S.A. In addition, the Christopher's home church, Community Bible Church, Pastor Steve Fernandez, of Vallejo, California serves as their sending agency.

Our Distinctive: Why the need for another church? : Because South Africa is a country of various extremes, to a large extent the South African Church mirrors these extremes of the surrounding culture. On the one hand, there is the extreme of dry traditionalism; while on the other hand, unchecked emotionalism is the order of the day. LHBC was started as a biblically balanced alternative to these.We seek to avoid these extremes by following the simplicity found in God's word.

Our Purpose: We exist to exalt Jesus Christ through a biblically centered evangelism to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20). We further seek to edify believers through discipleship by building believers up in the faith that was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 3). This purpose can only be accomplished as our pastor-teacher equips the congregation for the work of service (Ephesians 4:11-16). This requires both faithful proclamation and diligent application of God's word to daily life and living!
